In a series of tweets by the Nothing founder Carl Pei, we are now confirmed about the Chipset, which will come in the soon-to-be-launched Nothing Phone (2) as we predicted in the article.

Approximately ten months have passed since the highly anticipated release of the Nothing Phone (1) on July 21, 2022. However, the company began hinting at the phone’s features and shape and even held an exclusive bidding on 100 smartphones in early 2022.
As anticipation builds for the launch of the Nothing Phone (2), the company has started following a similar pattern. On May 3rd, a single photo was released revealing an updated light bar design for the recording LED on the back, now featuring a red bar instead of the red dot design from last year.
While no official launch date has been announced, Nothing plans to release the phone (2) in the summer of 2023, possibly in early July.

D-Nothing Phone (2) Processor and Chip:
The below info has been officially confirmed on 18th May, 2023 by Nothing.
At the moment, the one thing which we are confirmed about the phone (2) officially from Nothing is the chipset that it will be coming with, although we are not sure about the exact model number.
At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, Carl Pei announced that the company’s next phone would use a flagship Qualcomm chip.
The Nothing Founder, Carl Pie, together with Qualcomm executives, officially announced that phone (2) would use the flagship Qualcomm chip Snapdragon 8+ chips.
While answering a question, he mentioned that the chip would almost cost the same, which means phone (2) will use the lower Gen 1 chip, confirming us with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
This development is certainly exciting news for Nothing enthusiasts, as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset is expected to provide a substantial boost in power over the older Snapdragon 778G+ chipset used in the previous model
Design of Nothing Phone (2)
In line with Nothing’s design philosophy, we can anticipate an updated set of design elements on the back of the Nothing Phone 2, while still maintaining the signature look and feel of the brand.
It is worth noting that Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing, has always placed emphasis on minimalism and clean aesthetics. As a result, it is expected that the Nothing Phone 2 will feature a sleek and streamlined design that reflects the company’s commitment to a minimalist approach.
Recent Sneakpeak into Nothing Phone (2)
Another thing which we are confirming about the Phone (2) is the design of the “Record RED LED Light.”
In a recent sneak peek image provided on the official company website, it’s confirmed that the back will have a totally new design from the previous phone (1), but it will still be using paper patterns with different shapes and forms.
However, the design philosophy of Nothing will still be maintained, and from a distance, the phone (2) will look similar to the Phone (1). Upon closer inspection, the updated design elements will become apparent.
Sim Tray Location of Phone (2)
It’s no secret that the sleek lines, uniform bezels, and outer frame of Nothing phones bear a striking resemblance to iPhones. In the case of the Phone (1), the SIM tray is positioned adjacent to the charging port at the bottom.
However, insiders suggest that the Phone (2) will feature a redesigned layout, with the SIM tray being moved to the side to accommodate a larger speaker cutout and improved microphone system.
This change in design could improve the overall sound quality and user experience of the phone.
As eSIMs are set to become more prevalent in the next few years, it would be a waste to have a SIM tray taking up valuable space at the bottom of the phone.
This is why we are expecting the SIM tray on the Phone (2) to move to the side, making room for a larger speaker system and a better mic setup.
In addition, eSIMs are expected to be introduced in select countries, further reinforcing the idea that a SIM tray at the bottom of the phone is becoming increasingly unnecessary.
It has also been confirmed by the company CEO in a tweet that the Phone (2) will be available in the United States this year. With this news, eSims looks like a very resonable leap forward in adopting the technology.

Glyph Light Cluster of Phone (2)
The glyph light cluster on the Nothing Phone (1) was a unique and innovative feature that allowed users to interact with their smartphones more intuitively and seamlessly.

Carl Pei confirmed about the battery capacity of Phone (2) in his latest interview with Forbes.
The battery of the Nothing Phone 2 will be a non-removable Li-Po type with a capacity of 4700 mAh. It will support 45W wired charging, PD3.0, QC4, and 15W wireless charging, with 5W reverse wireless charging.

The phone will not have a 3.5mm jack but will feature stereo speakers, fingerprint sensors, accelerometers, proximity, gyro, and compass sensors.
It will also have Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, dual-band, and a hotspot.
The expected price of the Nothing Phone 2
The Nothing Phone 1 is a budget-friendly option starting at £399 / €469 (approx. $500). While the Nothing Phone 2 may see some upgrades, it’s expected to stay within a similar price range.
Keep in mind that Nothing’s founder, Carl Pei, also founded OnePlus to release low-priced phones to build a following and gradually increase prices in future models.
